I think your effort is great! I especially like how you come up with a few phrases each day that will be useful around the house. If you are very busy with your four kids, it may be nice to get a Spanish word/phrase-of-the-day calendar, which are very inexpensive. This way, even if you aren't around at the time, your family still has a small does of Spanish in their days.

Skype is a VOIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) provider. You can call other Skype users for free. Free live talking! Calling a land line costs, but it's very cheap for a phone service. You can even buy a phone handset, but I prefer a headset w/ microphone.

I Don't have kids, So I can not say it is from my self experience, But I've Bumped into this software that dose not cost a fortune (I think it is about 50$) and I think it is just what you were looking for it is cheap interactive and you don't have to go to Puerto Rico it is called Verbrator and I have found it in a Spanish learning programs review site www.spanishparami.com there were few programs there but I think this one is the best for you. any way I hope that info was helpful and good luck with kids I wish I could help more.
